Agnes Scott College
I chose Agnes Scott College because I love my fellow Scotties who attend ASC. When I originally looked into colleges, I focused my efforts on the Atlanta area despite not having any family here. I did this because I really wanted to have opportunities with all the big companies that have headquarters in Atlanta, such as Warner Bros. At first, I wasn’t so sure about Agnes because I had already gone to an “all-girls” school from 6th grade to 12th grade. But once I toured the school, I was convinced. Seeing the students, feeling the energy in the air, convinced me that Agnes Scott was going to be my home. Despite Agnes Scott not offering a marketing major, I decided it was worth it to have the incredible experiences that Agnes Scott has given me. Since attending Agnes Scott, I have gotten to travel to Milan, Italy, created connections with many industry professionals, founded and ran my own club, and so much more. I’m so grateful for the experiences and opportunities that this school has given me.

Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders

I went to Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders from 2015 to 2022, or from 6th grade to 12th grade. While at Ann Richards, I took seven AP courses, as well as studying MediaTech and Theatre. I took the MediaTech pathway starting in 9th grade (2018). While in the MediaTech pathway, I filmed, edited, and wrote many short films, animated and recorded sound for short animated films, and interviewed people on camera and collected footage for a documentary. Most of the short films I created are on this site on the Camera Work page. For all of the projects I had featured on this site, I did the majority of both the editing and the filming. Starting in 6th grade, I chose theatre as my elective. While part of the theatre program, I acted in and performed multiple short scenes and one-act plays, performed and wrote improv and stand-up routines in front of both small and large crowds, and learned IPA and the Irish dialect, translating scripts and performing them on stage. Ann Richards gave me many unique opportunities and perspectives, including yearly college trips, access to top-of-the-line programs and equipment, and lots of volunteer experiences.
