Mortal Kombat Trophies
As explored in this Instagram post, I created the trophies for The Gaming Club’s Mortal Kombat tournament in Fall 2025. I made them using damaged dolls, clothing pieces, fabric scraps, and clear glue mixed with red food coloring for the blood. I started this project in the summer at my grandparents’ house, ultimately finishing them at CISAW in the Fall. A Conrey and Piper Smith helped me with printing out the labels/plaques with CISAW’s 3D printer.

Using this video of Mortal Kombat fatalities, I based the first trophy with two dolls on Tanya’s fatality pose, the second on holding a head on Shinnok’s fatality pose, and the third on Sonya Blade’s fatality pose.
These are the winners! From left to right: A Conrey (2nd place, playing as Alien) Ireland McCage (1st place, playing as D’Vorah) and Natalia (3rd place, playing as Shinnok)
