Brucetta

Meet Brucetta, the daughter of the animatronic shark in Jaws, Bruce. This character was such a fun exercise for me, combining one of my favorite series, Monster High, with one of my favorite movies, Jaws. There are lots of little details in this drawing, from the victim on the poster as a necklace, The Orca featured on her shoes, the yellow barrels on her bracelet, and more. Brucetta is from HauntleyWood, and is a bit self-conscious about her animatronic aspects, so she often covers them up with fishnet. If anyone asks, she’s a shark monster through and through!

The Monster High style is very difficult for me, as it’s much more realistic than most cartoons. At the same time, it’s very fun to challenge myself and make pieces I’m very proud of in this style.
